Sri Lankan authorities have extended the nationwide curfew till September 21 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country. The country’s Health Minister said that the curfew will be lifted on September 21 at 4:00 AM, as decided by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa after a meeting with the COVID-19 task force. He said that the number of corona infected patients in the country is continuously declining. He urged citizens to follow the tax rules, use this time for vaccination, stay at home and wear a mask. Army commander General Shavendra Silva said President Rajapaksa had instructed officials to submit a report on restrictions to be imposed after September 21.
