Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud is expected to visit India on September 19th. Prince Faisal will hold meetings with Foreign Minister Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and PM Modi during his visit. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India’s close allies in the Middle East, are concerned about the security implications of Afghanistan after the formation of the country’s government. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had discussed the situation in Afghanistan with Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan over telephone on 3 September. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had also discussed the Kabul crisis with UAE Diplomat Dr Anwar Gargash on 30 August.
