Donald Trump: ‘Not prepared to sign off on any deal with TikTok’

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump made a statement on TikTok’s deal signing in a White House news conference. President Trump said to reporters, “I’m not prepared to sign off on anything. I have to see the deal.” He added, “We need security, especially with what we have seen with respect to China”. Trump also said he will be presented the report on the status of the transactions of TikTok. Earlier in August, Trump had signed an executive order of banning US transactions with Bytedance (TikTok’s parent company).
