Australia to lift ban on its citizens returning from India from May 15

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that from next Saturday, Australia would lift the ban on its citizens returning from COVID-affected India. The Australian government had imposed a temporary ban on its citizens returning from India after staying there for 14 days or more. The Australian government had decided to impose five years in prison or a fine of 66 thousand Australian dollars (US $ 50,899) for not complying with this ban. Australian MPs, doctors, businessmen and civil society people had criticized this decision of the government.
