Aditya Alva, son of former Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva and brother-in-law of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, has been arrested by the police in the Sandalwood Drugs case on Monday. He has been arrested by the Bangalore Police Crime Branch from Chennai. Aditya Alva was absconding since he was named in the Sandalwood drugs case in September 2020. Due to this, the FIR lodged against him in the court also had to be canceled. On Tuesday, Aditya Alva was taken to Bengaluru for a medical checkup. He will be taken to court after which the police will demand his custody. Aditya is accused of hosting parties in which banned drugs were consumed. In the initial inquiry, Aditya Alva said that he had only hosted the party but he does not know any person who consumes drugs.
