Twitter marks BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya’s tweet as “manipulated media”

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT chief Amit Malviya’s tweet over farmers’ protest in Delhi has been tagged as “manipulated media” by Twitter. This is for the first time, that the action has been taken by the social media platform in India. Amit Malviya had posted a ‘Propaganda and Reality’ video claiming that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi‘s tweet about a policeman hitting a farmer during the protest was fake. He had captioned the video, by writing,”Rahul Gandhi must be the most discredited opposition leader India has seen in a long long time.” Twitter has flagged this tweet of Malviya as “manipulated media”.
