Priest, 14 policemen involved in Ram Temple’s Bhumi Pujan event test COVID-19 positive

A priest and at least 14 policemen have reported to test positive for COVID-19 infection. Praadeep Das, the chief priest’s assistant and 14 police personnel on security duty at Ayodhya‘s Ram Janambhoomi complex, where the grand Bhumi Pujan ceremony for the Ram temple will be held, have tested positive. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the event on August 5. UP CM Yogi Adityanath, on July 25, had visited the Ram Janmabhoomi complex to review preparations for the event. The city of Ayodhya currently has 375 active COVID-19.
