Recently, data of 533 million users including 61 lakh Indians was leaked from social networking site Facebook. Now, it has been reported by CyberNews that the personal data of about 500 million users of professional networking platform LinkedIn has been leaked and is being sold online. The allegedly scraped archive of 500 million users’ data has been put up for sale on a popular hacker forum. The hackers have also presented 20 lakh records of the leaked data as a ‘proof-of-contact’ sample. This data includes personal information like user name, email ID, address, gender, phone number and workplace.
