Although, Australia won the series 2-1 as the Indian team had lost the last two ODIs by 66 and 51 runs respectively. Captain Aaron Finch (75) and Glenn Maxwell (59) scored highest runs for their team. Jaspreet Bumrah (2 wickets for 43 runs), Shardul Thakur (3 wickets for 51 runs), T Natarajan (2 wickets for 70 runs) played important role in India’s victory. Hardik Pandya (92*) was awarded the Player of the Match title and Steve Smith (total 216 runs) was adjudged Player of the Series. Now from December 4, both the teams will compete in a series of three T20 matches.
