Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro took to Twitter to thank India for sending consignments of vaccine against COVID-19. He tweeted a photo of Lord Hanuman carrying ‘Sanjeevani Booti’ and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India. Responding to which, PM Modi said that India is a reliable partner of Brazil in fighting the Coronavirus pandemic and will continue to strengthen the co-operation on healthcare. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has informed that an aircraft reached Brazil on Saturday with 2 million doses of Covishield vaccine made in India. Jaishankar tweeted, ‘Trust the Pharmacy of the World. Made in India vaccines arrive in Brazil. #VaccineMaitri.” Covishield has been developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University and is being produced by the Serum Institute of India.
