Voting of the first phase of Bihar Assembly Election 2020 began on Wednesday at 7 AM. Over 1000 candidates are contesting for 71 seats in the first phase. Around 2 crore 14 lakh 6,000 voters will decide the fate of 1,066 candidates. During polling, two IED was recovered from a booth in Aurangabad’s Dhibra, which was defused by the bomb disposal team of CRPF. COVID-19 patients will be voting in the last hour of the day, i.e. 5 to 6 PM. Health department guidelines are strictly being followed in view of corona infection. According to ANI, till 9 AM, the voter turnout was 6.74%.
