On Thursday, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the makers and producers of ‘Mirzapur’ and Amazon Prime Video, complaining about misrepresenting Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the complaint, this web series tarnishes the image and shows the district Mirzapur in bad light. The Supreme Court has sought feedback from the OTT platform and the series makers. ‘Mirzapur’ series has been mired in controversies since the release of its second series last year. Mirzapur MP and National President of political party Apna Dal, Anupriya Patel had demanded an inquiry against it. Another series of Amazon Prime, Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Tandav‘ is also in controversy for hurting religious sentiments.
