Supreme Court denies protection from arrest to makers of ‘Tandav’

The Supreme Court today refused to give interim protection from arrest to the makers, writers and actors of web-series ‘Tandav‘ in the FIR lodged against them. The Supreme Court asked the makers to file their plea in the High Court and issued a notice to link all the FIRs. Next hearing in the case will be held after 4 weeks. The ‘Tandav’ team had approached the Supreme Court following the lawsuits filed in several states over the web series for hurting religious sentiments. The team has requested to cancel the FIR against in these states. Amazon Prime India chief Aparna Purohit, producer Himanshu Krishna Mehra, series writer Gaurav Solanki and actor Zeeshan Ayub have filed petitions in the Supreme Court.
