COVID-19 case tally crosses the 7.7 million mark in India

India recorded 55,839 new cases in the last 24 hours. With the new addition, the total number of COVID-19 cases has crossed the 77 lakh-mark with 77,06,946 cases, while the death count has reached 1,16,616. A total of 68,74,518 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far in the country. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst coronavirus affected state with a total of 16,17,658 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 7,93,299, Karnataka with 7,82,773 and Tamil Nadu with 6,97,116 cases.
