West Bengal Govt extends COVID-19 restrictions till July 1

On Monday, the West Bengal government led by Mamata Banerjee has extended the COVID-19 restrictions in the state till July 1. CM Banerjee also announced some relaxation with curbs. Mamata Bannerjee said that government and private institutions will open with 25% capacity. Other activities like shopping malls and complexes will be allowed to open from 11 AM to 6 PM. They also resumed sports activities as well, but without spectators. However, educational institutions, waterways will remain shut in the state. Currently, West Bengal has recorded 1,403 daily new caseloads of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
