On Monday, Uttar Pradesh’s chief secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari announced to activate more than 400 oxygen plants in the state by July 31. This decision comes after chairing a virtual meeting with divisional commissioners and district magistrates. Tiwari asked district officials that, we will require more powerful generators to increase the load of transformers or to be used as a backup, to send their requests along with an estimated number of generators needed. He added that, district magistrates need to arrange for the manpower to operate and maintain the oxygen plants.
