Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s blue tick removed from his personal Twitter account

On Saturday, social media giant Twitter has removed the verified blue tick of Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu’s personal Twitter handle. This comes after Twitter had a face-off with the central government against new IT Rules. Earlier, the Centre had announced new IT Rules for users’ privacy and security on February 25. Apparently, the Secretariat of Vice President’s Twitter account still has the blue tick on it. Currently, Naidu’s personal account has 1.3 million followers, and his Vice President of India handle has more than 931,000 followers. The information was shared by the Office of Vice President to ANI.
