NDRF deploys 15 teams in Maharashtra amid heavy rain prediction

On Thursday, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed over 15 teams in several parts of Maharashtra state amid heavy rainfall. This comes after IMD predicts a heavy rainfall to occur in the state of Maharashtra. NDRF Director General S N Pradhan reported that 4 teams have been sent in Ratnagiri, two each in Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Palghar, Raigad, Thane, and one in Kurla (east Mumbai suburb). Earlier on Wednesday, a heavy rainfall lashed Mumbai and its suburban areas which disrupted railway lines due to water-logging.
