On Thursday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the progress of the monsoon likely to get advanced between June 27 and June 30. It will pick up the progress in most parts of northwest India outside west Rajasthan. According to the IMD, the subdued rainfall activity is likely to continue over northwest India till June 27. This happened due to a gradual establishment of easterly winds and the straightening of monsoon in India. IMD also predicted that during the ending week of June 30, the rainfall will become normal over some parts of northwest India except the western Himalayan region.
