Maharashtra State Transport Corporation to take loan

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The Maharashtra State Transport Corporation (MSTC), which has lost crores of rupees due to the closure of public transport due to corona lockdown, has no money to pay the salaries of its employees. So now the ST Corporation will take out a loan of Rs 2,000 crore by mortgaging its assets at banks like bus stands and depots, from which it will celebrate Diwali for its employees. This information was given by Transport Minister Anil Parab. Now that it is Diwali, employees need to be paid. For this, the transport department has proposed Rs 3,600 crore to the government. However, due to poor financial condition of the state, the transport department has decided to take out a loan.
