In the Sonwa police station area last night, a farmer was brutally murdered by unknown miscreants and escaped after covering the body with paddy straw. Police of the police station reached the information late night and filled the panchnama and sent the body for postmortem. A crime branch has also been set up, including a team of several police stations, to reveal the incident. According to the information received by the villagers, Ram Chhabile, a resident of Babupurwa in Sonwa police station area, was going to give food to his son working in the field. On the way, some unknown miscreants were assaulting a young man from the village near Saryu canal. Ram Chhabile started intervening on both sides, after which the crook Ram clashed with Chhabile. The other person who had fled from there to save his life came to the village and narrated the whole incident. When the villagers reached the spot, the miscreants fled from there, a pile of paddy straw was found nearby, in which the body of Ram Chhabile was found. According to the villagers, the body had bruises on the neck and blood was flowing from the ears. On arrival, Additional Superintendent of Police BC Dubey has filled the body’s panchnama and sent the body for postmortem.
