Karnataka Govt extends lockdown in 11 districts till June 21

On Thursday, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has announced an extension of lockdown in 11 districts of the state. The lockdown will be extended till 6 am on June 21. This comes after an increase in COVID-19 cases in the state. According to sources, the 11 districts include Chikmagalur, Shivamogga, Davangere, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Belagavi, and Kodagu. CM Yeddyurappa has imposed relaxation on remaining districts including Bengaluru. Currently, Karnataka recorded 11,042 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours.
