On Monday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red and orange alerts for several states in the country. Red Alert has been issued to the Konkan region and Goa, while orange alert includes Maharashtra, coastal districts, and south interior of Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Jharkhand. This decision comes after the advanced monsoon arrives in these states. IMD’s Bengaluru unit director CS Patil reported that an orange alert of coastal areas of Karnataka will be issued till June 17. Patil also said, Bengaluru to experience light to moderate rainfall in the next few days.
