IMA holds nationwide demonstration against an assault on doctors

On Friday, The Indian Medical Association (IMA) started a nationwide protest today against the incidents of assault on doctors. Currently, doctors are demanding a central law to protect doctors from violence. In Thiruvananthapuram, the Kerala wing of the IMA protested outside the Kerala Secretariat. Doctors across the country are registering their protest with black flags and by wearing black masks on their faces. In the recent past, there have been numerous incidents of assault on doctors at many places. IMA says that more than 700 doctors have died across the country during the second wave of Coronavirus.
