Himalayan vultures in the national park

The Himalayan vulture, which lives near the foothills of the Himalayas, was spotted at Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali on Thursday. The discovery of this vulture in a national park is long overdue. The Himalayan Griffon, the Himalayan vulture, is found in large numbers mainly in the northern states. Vultures of this species are found in Rajasthan and Gujarat during normal winter migration. According to e-Bird, a website that keeps records of birds, it was earlier found near Beed. National park records are not available on e-Bird, but bird watchers have occasionally recorded them.
