Gambojia alias guppy fish brought from abroad will destroy the dengue larvae. It has been dumped in the wells of gram panchayats along with the fountain ground of Gayatri Kunj, built in Gayatri Tapobhumi of Sumerpur town. One thousand children have been called from abroad. District Malaria Officer Dr. RK Yadav said that Gambojia aka Guppy fish does not allow dengue larvae to flourish. It stays in clean water as well as dirty water. Along with dengue larvae, it is also helpful in cleaning up dirt. Keeping the havoc of dengue fever in the town, it has been kept in the water of the fountain ground inside the Gayatri Kunj located in Gayatri Tapobhumi courtyard. Malaria official said that one thousand children have been called from abroad. Apart from the town, it has also been left in the wells of gram panchayats. He told that it has been left in other panchayats including Pothia.
