On Wednesday morning, the Central Water Commission (CWC) issued an orange alert in Bihar. The CWC has predicted that a flood situation will escalate in some parts of the state. This comes after a Heavy rainfall occurred nearby area of the Gandak river along with the Nepal-India border in the last 24 hours. According to sources, Bihar rivers Gandak and Burhi Gandak are flowing above very dangerous levels. The situation has arisen after the administration opened all the 36 gates of the Valmikinagar Gandak barrage. A team of SDRF and NDRF has been deployed to evacuate the residents from flooding.
