Chinese crew reaches spsce station module

China’s Shenzhou 12 spacecraft with three astronauts on board has successfully docked with an underconstruction spacecraft in Earth’s lower orbit, the China Manned Space Agency said on Thursday. It marked the latest milestone in China’s ambitious space programme which expects to complete its space station by 2022. Launched on Thursday morning Shenzhou 12 docked with Tianhe the space station ‘s core module in the afternoon completing the journey in six and a half hours. The astronauts Nie Haisheng, Lie Bombing and Tang Hongbo will spend three months on Tianhe which is said to be orbiting at 340-380km above the Earth.
