Mumbai: A meeting of the state cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. An important decision was taken in this meeting to change the caste names of the settlements in the state. The state has a large population. These settlements are named after castes. However, now the names of the castes in such settlements are about to be deported. Some decisions need to be made over time. Munde had said that NCP president Sharad Pawar had given the order that there should be no more settlements in Maharashtra in the name of caste. In many cities of the state, names like Kumbhar Wada, Teli Pura, Bari Pura, Chambar Wada, Brahman Aali, Sutar Galli, Sonar Wada, Gawli Chaal etc. have been given to the settlements.
