ASI to reopen protected monuments and museums from June 16

On Monday, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) decided to reopen their protected monuments, sites, and museums for visitors from June 16. ASI issued a statement that said, “Considering the prevailing situation, now, it has been decided that all centrally-protected monuments, sites, and museums (under ASI) shall be reopened from 16.06.2021 (Wednesday).” Currently, Delhi has at least 70 monuments under ASI, including Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub’s Minar, and Purana Qila, which will be opened for visitors. Earlier, these monuments and museums were closed due to the rise in the second wave of COVID-19 across the nation on April 15.
