On Tuesday, gold and silver prices recorded an increase in the domestic bullion market. According to HDFC Securities, gold prices rose by Rs 285 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday to retail at Rs 48,892 per 10 grams. In the previous session, gold had closed at Rs 48,607 per 10 grams. Along with gold, the domestic spot price of silver also recorded an increase on Tuesday. Silver gained Rs 952 per kg and increased to Rs 71,850 per kg. It had closed at Rs 70,898 per kg in the previous session. In the international market, gold was seen trading higher at $1,912 an ounce while silver was trading steady at $28.32 an ounce.
