Ratan Tata applauds Supreme Court’s verdict in Mistry’s Dismissal Case

The Supreme Court has given its verdict in the Tata and Sons vs Cyrus Mistry case. A bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde, Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramaniam upheld the move to remove Cyrus Mistry as the chairman of Tata Sons. On 24 October 2016, Tata Group removed Mistry from the position of chairman. The apex court overruled National Company Law Appellate Tribunal’s (NCLAT) decision to reinstate Cyrus Mistry as the company’s chairman. After the verdict, Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group Ratan Tata posted a note on Twitter appreciating the decision of the apex court.
