Petrol and diesel prices in the country have increased for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. In Delhi, petrol price increased by 25 paise on Tuesday, reaching Rs 85.20 per liter. While the price of diesel in Delhi also increased by 25 paise to Rs 75.38 per liter. In Mumbai, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 91.80 per liter while the price of diesel has risen sharply to Rs 82.13 per liter. The price of diesel in Mumbai is currently at a record high. Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said on Monday that fuel prices are rising due to low production in oil producing countries due to Coronavirus pandemic. He said that prices are rising due to deteriorating balance between demand and supply.
