The Central Government again held talks on Friday with the protesting farmers regarding the three agricultural reform laws in the country. However, the ninth round of negotiations between the central government and farmer organizations has also been inconclusive. The meeting took place today amid the controversy over the expert committee set-up by the Supreme Court. According to Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, no proposal has been agreed so far. Along with this, he said that today’s interaction with farmers’ organizations was not conclusive therefore another round of talks will be held again on 19 January. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Somprakash were present in this meeting.
