Gold rate rises in futures market, silver rate also soars

On Thursday, the futures prices of gold and silver witnessed a significant increase. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) at 10:55 am, the price of gold futures in February was up by 0.58% to trend at Rs 50,800 per 10 grams. In the previous session, the gold price for the January contract was Rs 50,509 per 10 grams. While in April 2021, the price of delivery gold was up by Rs 246 i.e. 0.49% to Rs 50,800 per 10 grams. On Wednesday, the closing price of April contract gold was at Rs 50,554 per 10 grams. On the Multi Commodity Exchange at 10:15 am in March 2021, the price of silver for delivery was up by Rs 173, or 0.25% to Rs 69,590 per kg. In the previous session, the price of silver in March 2021 contract was Rs 69,417 per kg.
