Gold rate rises heavily, silver rate also plunges

On Thursday, gold and silver prices increased significantly. The spot price of gold in Delhi increased by Rs 575 per 10 grams. With this, the price of gold in Delhi reached Rs 49,125 per 10 grams. In the previous session, the gold price was Rs 48,550 per 10 grams. According to HDFC Securities, the rise in gold prices was observed amid strong trend globally. Meanwhile, the price of silver also increased by Rs 1,227 to Rs 66,699 per kg. In the previous session, silver was priced at Rs 65,472 per kg. Internationally, the value of gold rose to $ 1,870.50 an ounce while silver reached $ 25.83 an ounce.
