On Thursday, gold and silver registered tremendous gains in the domestic bullion market. According to HDFC Securities, gold rose by Rs 526 to Rs 46,310 per 10 grams in the national capital due to a strong recovery in global metal prices. In the previous trade, gold had closed at Rs 45,784 per 10 grams. Silver prices also rose today by Rs 1,231 to Rs 68,654 per kg. In the previous trading session, this precious metal was at Rs 67,423 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of gold in the international market rose to $1,778 an ounce today. Rupee today weakened by 5 paise to the level of Rs 74.37 against the dollar.
