Gold registered a price drop on Friday by Rs 291. After the decrease, gold now costs Rs 44,059 per 10 grams in Delhi. According to HDFC Securities, gold prices in the country plummeted after the fall in international prices. It had closed at Rs 44,350 per 10 grams in previous trade. Today, silver also became cheaper by Rs 1,096 to Rs 65,958 per kg. It was Rs 67,054 per kg in previous trade. Rupee opened 72 paise higher at 72.71 against the US dollar on Friday. In the international market, gold and silver were trading at USD 1,707 per ounce and USD 25.67 per ounce respectively.
