Gold price declines, silver also records dip

On Friday, the trend of gold and silver prices saw a significant fall after continuously rising for three consecutive days in the spot market. The price of gold fell by Rs 263 to close at Rs 48,861 per 10 gram on Friday. In the previous session, gold was at Rs 49,124 per 10 grams. According to HDFC Securities, due to weak trend globally, prices of precious metals declined in Delhi. The price of silver fell by Rs 806 to Rs 66,032 per kg in Delhi. In the previous session, silver was at Rs 66,838 per kg. In the International market, gold declined to $1,861 an ounce and silver was at $25.52 an ounce.
