CCPA recommends budget session from 29 January

The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) has today recommended the commencement of budget session from 29 January, 2021. The budget session has been recommended to begin from 29 January to 15 February in Part 1 and from 8 March to 8 April in Part 2. According to sources, as per the recommendation of the CCPA, President Ram Nath Kovind will address a joint sitting of both houses of parliament on 29 January. Accordingly, the general budget will be presented on 1 February, 2021. During the budget session of Parliament, all COVID-19 related protocols will be followed. The proceedings of both the houses will run for 4 hours each. This time the winter session of Parliament was not called due to the increasing cases of Coronavirus.
