Amidst the ongoing protests of farmers, over 8 crore traders from across the country will join the ‘Bharat Bandh’ strike to be held on 26 February. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), the top organization of traders, has called for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on February 26, seeking to simplify and review the provisions of GST regime, protesting against fuel price hike and scrapping the new E-way bill. All India Transporters Welfare Association (AITWA), the apex body of the road transport sector, has announced ‘Chakka Jam’ on this day in support of CAIT. All commercial markets will remain closed on 26 February in the country and protest dharnas will be organised in different cities.
