ADB: Global GDP may suffer $77-347 billion loss due to Coronavirus

On Friday 6th March, The Asian Development Bank (ADB) reported that the coronavirus outbreak possesses the potential to significantly harm the Asian economies. The outbreak could bring the global gross domestic product (GDP) down by 0.1 to 0.4% and the global economy may suffer losses up to USD 77-347 billion. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said that the global spread of coronavirus has crushed hopes for stronger growth this year and will hold the 2020 global output gains to their slowest pace since the 2008-2009 financial crisis.
